Laurie Barnes

OVERVIEW

Laurie was initially admitted as a solicitor in 1977 and from 1978 to 1987 was an equity partner at a leading Brisbane city personal injuries firm. He was admitted as a Barrister in 1987 and has practiced continuously at the private Bar in Brisbane since then.

Laurie practices in the personal injuries field and has over his career represented in excess of 10,000 clients and run well in excess of 200 trials as well as hundreds of mediations and several thousand Compulsory Conferences.

He is a former editor of the Bar Quantum notes as well as having been a presenter at legal conferences and the Bar Practice Course.
