Steve Herd

BACKGROUND

After completing Articles of Clerkship, Steve was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2004. He then spent the next almost 21 years specialising in personal injury and insurance litigation, acting for plaintiffs and defendants in all areas of compensation law, before being called to the Bar in 2025.

Steve obtained Queensland Law Society accreditation as a specialist in personal injury law in 2009 and, from 2012 to 2025, was also a member, and then the Chair, of the Queensland Law Society Personal Injury Specialist Accreditation Committee.

For almost the same duration, Steve was also a member, and then the Deputy Chair, of the Queensland Law Society Access to Justice / Pro-Bono Law Committee.

Outside of work, Steve is also a Board Member of Connections Inc, a not-for-profit disability support service.
